I just wanted to say what a great job Charlie did taking care of my dog when I
was on vacation. He has excellent facilities that he keeps imaculately clean. He
played and exercised her every day and also bathed her. Charlie went far beyond
what I expected in caring for my German Shepard. I was able to relax and enjoy
my family vacation because I knew my dog was happy, safe and well watched for.

My name is, Renee and Charlie kept our dog, Tonka a little over a week. Before we took Tonka to Charlie, he was very nervous and scared of everyone. He pulled me when we would go for a walk and he just never seemed to listen to us. He was also obsessed with his red ball. After Charlie got him to relax, Tonka bonded with him like I'd had never seen him do with anyone. He seemed to become a different dog! Charlie taught him that he didn't need to be scared and that if he didn't pull, his walk would be much more enjoyable. I couldn't believe it when Charlie called to tell me that Tonka would actually bring him the red ball and give it to him! But sure enough when we went to pick him up, I could already see a huge difference! Most dogs go wild when you're separated for a while, so I was expecting Tonka to be hard to handle. But the very first time I told him to sit, he did and then looked up at me as if he was thinking, "Okay, now what do you want me to do?" Tonka slept the whole way home and has been a joy to be around ever since! Just the other day, he was off leash and saw our neighbor's cat. He got in his hunting mode stance and I could tell he wanted to chase it. I firmly, but calmly said, "No." Just like Charlie had told me. And sure enough, Tonka sat down and looked at me. I opened our front door and he came right inside! This would have never happened before. Charlie is by far the BEST person I have ever seen work with dogs! He observes them first to see what kind of temperament they have and then trains them depending on their individual needs. I highly recommend him and will continue to use him for Tonka and any other dogs we have in the future.

This summer we sent our nine month old male German Shepherd to Charlie
Turner so he could work with him on overall obedience. At the time Jax
was a handful. Even though he knew basic commands, he only obeyed those
commands sporadically. Basically, things worked on his demand. We could
not walk him on a leash because he pulled you and wrapped his leash
around you. We could not let him out without a leash because he would
run destructively about and would not return to his kennel unless you
caught him and forced him back into it. After a full week of training
with Charlie, Jax was like a different dog obedience wise. He is still a
rambunctious pup, but he now realizes things do not work on his command.
He walks very obediently on a leash and actually loves to go on walks.
He will run and put his head through the collar when he sees you get the
collar and leash ready for a walk. We can let him out of his kennel
without a leash and he respects the boundaries of his yard. When he
oversteps those boundaries, he listens to our commands and returns to
us. As well, he will return to his kennel on command. It has made a huge
difference in the amount of time we spend interacting with him and the
quality of our interactions.
